Mental Toughness

Resilience is something that can be developed over time. Life stress often causes us to do one of two things, give in to it or overcome it.
Often times, focus is on our developing our weaknesses in response to stress. We believe through cognitive behavioral therapy, weakness is built off of our strengths. Sometimes our thoughts can be deceiving and perception is reality. The problem is our perception, when under duress, if distorted. Correcting irrational thoughts and developing coping skills is positively correlated with “mental toughness.”
